Three large black frames are hung in a row, in each is a photograph of used matches placed vertically in the frame. In the first is three burnt matches, the middle match being slightly curved towards the right and broken in the middle. The second contains two matches, the left match is curved severly to the right and is broken at the head, there is carchoal debris around the broken head. The last photograph has one match that sits vertically and is intact, burnt halfway down.

Spending My Future Inheritance (2017-18)

this ongoing series is often exhibited along with the video work The Long Process of Not Letting Go.

In this series of photographs I document my use of a large quantity of matches that I am set to inherit one day.
